JOB DESCRIPTION

Morstowe Sales International Ltd. is presently recruiting for a logistics coordinator with experience in freight-forwarding.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, organize, coordinate, arrange freight and monitor the transportation and movement of goods/containers
- Coordinate day to day logistics activities required for the transportation of products, via ocean, ground and international freight
- Interface with service providers: ocean carriers, rail, truck and warehousing
- Research and procure transportation tenders and quotations
- Monitor shipment movements – strong follow up required
- Follow up on invoices
- Keep up to date with government regulations
- Prepare import/export documentation
- Communicate with custom brokers and ensure proper custom tariff classification

- Strong organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task
- Strong negotiation skills – negotiating with carriers for best rates and services
- Ability to work in fast paced environment, meet deadlines, and strong attention to detail
- Communicate in a professional manner
- Good computer skills – MS Excel & Word
- Minimum two years’ experience in logistics or freight
- Excellent English and French skills – Spanish an asset
